After a brief illness, Daryl passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. Daryl (nee McNutt) is survived by her husband Doug Elmslie of Fenelon Falls. Loving mother of Matthew and his wife Brona Little, Sam, and Rachel and her husband Jason Cuthbertson. Dear grandmother of Gareth, Devlin, William, and Sam. Daryl is pre-deceased by her parents Ger and Adeline (Winx) McNutt, and her brother Terry McNutt. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Diane McNutt. Daryl was most proud of her family, friends, and former jobs at the Montreal Gazette, Hallmark Cards, and most recently the Fenelon Animal Clinic where she was a friend to clients both two-and four-legged. She enjoyed time well spent playing word games, reading, and of course crocheting. She traveled extensively to many parts of the world. She always had a quick quip or snappy retort for any situation. She had a highly developed sense of justice and fair play, her watchword was loyalty, and she was a true friend to many. Her passing makes our world a sadder and lonelier place.

At her request, Daryl chose to be cremated and desired not to have a formal service. Her family will be planning a remembrance event at a future date.
