Life Story for David Stanley James "Dave" Bowman



BOWMAN, David Stanley James:
Passed away suddenly at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, on Tuesday December 30th, 2008, in his 86th year. Dave was a WWII veteran, 99SRAF wireless air gunner, a 25 year General Motors of Canada employee and a teacher at Centennial College for 18 years. Dave was a beloved husband of Ruth Davidson-Bowman, father of John and his wife Diane of Ottawa, Warren of Freshwater, Nfld, Kerry and her husband Jack of Red Deer, Alberta and Rob and his partner Bob of Ottawa. Dave was grandfather to Daniel, Jamie, Cameron, Matt and Mitchell. Dave was predeceased by his first wife Thelma in 2004. Dave was an active member of Branch 238 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Fenelon Falls. A visitation will be held at the FENELON FALLS UNITED CHURCH, 123 Colborne St. Fenelon Falls on Friday January 2nd, 2009 at 1 p.m., with service commencing at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the Legion. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
