Stepping back in time.....

Hi Christine and Noah, We would like to express our condolences, your Dad (grandpa) meant a lot to us growing up.....our summers spent at the cottage were so much fun, especially us older parks and Lewis kids. Both your Mom and Dad were a big part of it. The hours spent plotting water fights and strategies against your dad were endless, being threatened to be or actually thrown off the dock, boat rides to town, seeing your dad sitting on a stool on a surfboard going around the lake, wanted us to be able to do it! Your parents allowed all of us kids (8 all together) to come over and race around their property with buckets full of water and squirt guns squealing at the top of our lungs at our successes and failures, usually ending up in the water off the dock! We thought he was so cool! Everyone loved Uncle Don. Your Mom played along with everything, she was such a good sport! She would help us surprise your Dad, whether it was us planning to dump a pail of water over his head as he stepped out of the cottage or sneak up on him and get him with water guns. We enjoyed having them join us at our campfires and take part in our skits, he always played along.....I remember doing the king tut skit, uncle don was a good sport about going along with us, he certainly brought his great sense of humour! We were fortunate to have them in our lives.. As we got older, the younger ones kept up the water fights, and campfires going... I will always remember that mischievous smile and twinkle in his eye that he was up to something! Your Dad was a kind, fun man who brought a lot of joy to us Lewis and parks kids. We just wanted you to know. I know the past few years have been very hard for you, that disease is a terrible one to watch a parent go through, but you've been a good daughter and he was very proud of both you and Noah. If you ever need anything, let us know. Sending warm thoughts your way at this difficult time. Love Anne, Lyle, Carey, Laura and Mike Boylen
