Passed peacefully at Brockville General Hospital, on Friday July 29 th, 2022 in his 75 th year. Ed was the beloved husband of Becky DeGroote of Athens, for almost 50 years. Loving father of Claire DeGroote and her partner Josh Graves, and their children Jack, Conner and Morgan; Ed DeGroote and his children Eddy, William, River, Willow; Amy Gilbert and her children Jules, Bailey and Timmy predeceased; Peter DeGroote and his wife Lindsay and their children Max and Sophie. The Family of Ed DeGroote will receive friends at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 8 Princes’ St. West, Fenelon Falls, on Thursday August 4, 2022, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Fenelon Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Brockville General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
