Obituary for Edna Hawkins

Edna Constance Hawkins (Clark)

November 24, 1925- December 4, 2019

With heavy hearts but immense joy for Mom’s life, we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mom in her 95th year, surrounded by her loving family at home in Oakville. Predeceased by her devoted husband “Fee”, John O. Hawkins, her brother Alan (Jean), and her parents, Beatrice and Raymond Clark. Survived by her loving sisters Ruth (Vern) and Diane (Ron). Lovingly remembered always by her children John (Debbie), Janice (Keith) and Barb (Cary). Proud Grandmother to Ryan (Lexie), Kara (Gord), Lucas (Asako); Dave (Jessie), Katherine (Chris), Kevin (Stephanie), Kirsten (Aaron), and Kelly (Olexiy).Special Great-Grandmother to Ayden, Ronan, Jaxson, Mila, Ellie, Chloe and Conor. Loving Mom, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, proud Grandmother, special Great-Grandmother, Nurse, Farmerette (WW11), family business accountant, seamstress, knitter, master crafter (family Christmas stockings and hand made cards), are just some of her many talents and roles during her 94 years. Edna had a sharp mind and a quick wit, which she shared right up to the end. Her life was lived with a humble Christian spirit, a generous giving heart and a keen sense of fairness to all. She was the ultimate environmentalist before her time. “I have lived a good long life and I have no regrets! My life will go on through my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren…. I will be able to watch down from above as they continue to grow with future weddings and births…..” Edna’s love for her family was only surpassed by her family’s love for her!
Thanks for the memories Mom! Rest in peace!
