PAYNE, Eileen:
Eileen Payne went to be with her Lord on Christmas Day, Friday December 25, 2020 at Fenelon Court Long Term Care in her 98th year. Loving and cherished wife of the late Donald Payne. Dear mother of David Payne and his wife Diane of East Gwillimbury, Glenda and her husband Mark Scott of Fenelon Falls, Roger Payne and his wife Isabel of Stouffville, Brian Payne and his wife Peggy of Fenelon Falls. Eileen was a proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Eileen was born in London, England on March 9, 1923. She enjoyed singing and was a member of the Wimbledon Choral and Orchestral Society. She trained and worked as a nurse in a London Hospital, experiencing the Battle of Britain and the London Blitz before moving to Canada with her husband Don in 1949. Her life’s work and passion was serving God, being a mother to her four children and a true partner to her husband. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment took place at Pinegrove Cemetery, Norland. Memorial donations to Trentside Baptist Church, Fenelon Falls would be appreciated by the family.
