Peacefully at South Lake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Saturday, November 5, 2016 in his 91st year. Fred was the beloved husband of the late June Swanton (nee Gillis). Dear father of Bill and his wife Cathy of Scarborough, Peter and his wife Suzanne of Keswick, Katherine and her husband Glenn Matheson of Aurora, Susan and her husband Larry Casey of Sonya. Special grampa of 7 grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters. The family of Fred Swanton will receive friends at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 2:00 p.m until time of service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Fenelon Falls Cemetery.
