I want to send my dearest wishes to Gert family, I volunteered at Fenelon Court, and Gert as I was told to call her.....was one of first ladies that I volunteered with. In those days her eye sight wasn't too bad so she loved to come to our Tea and Chat, was beautiful inside and out, a great sense of humour and we would share a lot of giggles we were together. I felt so honoured to have her come out to our last Tea and Chat before the shut down on the Home. She was a lady from head to toe, and I was so lucky to be able to be just one of her volunteers, God Bless Gert, and thank you you for the time I got to spend with you.

I did not see Gertie as much as I would have liked to in later years but we always kept in touch. Lloyd, Lynn and I spent a very enjoyable 2 or 3 hours with her last fall where she recalled many stories with us from past and current times. Gertie was my 1st cousin once removed and we lived within a couple miles of each other, I went through public and high school with Wayne and a few years in public school with Carolyn as well, and I spent time at their home during those years.
Gertie rest in peace.
