Gordon Vincent Lewis (July 3,1933- March 25, 2019) passed away at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay after a short illness. Gordon was the youngest of 14 children born to Watson Joseph Lewis and Mary (Robichaud) Lewis of Waterford, Digby Co., Nova Scotia. Survived by Ida Francis Quinlan and James Isaac Lewis. Pre-deceased by Elwin, Ashton, Henry, Darrell, Fred, Lovett, Charles, Joseph, Viva, Laura, and Hazel. Gordon retired from Ontario Hydro after 40 years service and spent many enjoyable years square dancing, social dancing, camping, as well as over 50 years at the cottage in Fenelon Falls and 22 years wintering in Florida. Gordon and his wife Joan ( Noonan) were married for 61 years and were parents to Anne ( Lyle) Boylen ( Nova Scotia), Linda, and Michael (Ontario). Blessed with nine grandchildren, Carey, Laura & Michael Boylen, Michelle & Scott Devine, Terence Dunphy, Grady & Darian Carpenter, Reece Lewis, and three great grandchildren, Kurtis, Mikaela, and Isaac. Gordon leaves many nephews and nieces in Ontario and Nova Scotia, and was a well loved Uncle to the Park children. Gordon volunteered with the Knights of Columbus, the Legion, Seniors club, Community Care as well as many dance organizations, and was always happy to help. A Celebration of Life will be held for Gord on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. at the Senior Citizen’s Club of Fenelon Falls at 58 Murray St., Fenelon Falls, Ontario.
