A memory of Hal that stays with me is when, during some of the worst weather of the winter, he drove you and a cat house over to the spot where we were leaving cat food for a stray named Fatso. He unloaded the bulky house and navigated the snow and ice to install it near the outhouse. Of course, this house was in addition to the other sanctuaries already residing at your house. At no time did he give me the look that he was being held captive by a crazy cat lady. He grinned and one knew that he was either a softy like Lynn or he was the most supportive and patient man in the neighbourhood. I suspect it was a bit of both. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and animals in the neighbourhood. Hugs, Sheila and Jamie Hetherington

Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time Lynn. I always enjoyed Hal's calm demeanor and big smile. He was such a rock to so many people. May you take comfort in your memories of the good times. Hugs.

Dear Lynn and family
We are saddened to hear of Hal's passing
Hal has left happy memories for many
Here is a memoy of Hal that I want to share with you
Marty and I were at a get together when you Lynn were pregnant and
Hal was telling of a few nights before you had this wild craving for chocolate and it was late at
night and not like now as convient stores are open much later with no chocolate
to be found in your home being pregnant and wanting to do the very best that
he could for you he called "Mouse" ( God rest his soul )who owned the garage which is no longer there
and asked if he would meet you at his garage so you could get a chocolate bar for his very pregnant wife Lynn
So Mouse meets you there very late at night and you return home with your chocolate bar many even bars
I just loved this story and one example of Hal'character
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
Marty and Philomena Childs
