It is with great sadness that our families announce the passing of John Richard on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Newmarket Health Long Term Care in his 76th year. John Richard was married to the love of his life Emma Richard for 53 years. Loving father of Kathy and her husband Darren Roberts of St. Catherines, Nicole and her husband Raymond Mac Williams of Fenelon Falls, Daniel Richard and his wife Andrea of Aurora and Denis Richard and his wife Christina also of Fenelon Falls. Devoted grandfather of Christopher MacWilliams, Ryan MacWilliams, Caitlinn Richard (Zach), Eric Richard, Matthew Richard and great-grandfather of Thomas Richard-Hughes. John is survived by his siblings; Irene and her husband Leonard, Alva and his wife Grace, Alfred and his wife Stella, Eugene, Lise and her husband Ariste, Lita and her husband Keith, Euclide and his wife Pierette. John is pre-deceased by his parents Vitaline and Levi Richard and his brothers, Roger and Fern. Survived by his sister-in-laws, Linda and Anita. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with family and friends. John was a great dad, husband and grandfather. He loved to laugh. We have lots of memories of sitting around the table playing canasta, euchre and rummoli. Lots of "Tabernac and Calise" where said around the table, with tears running down our faces from laughing so hard. We know he is up there with family and friends playing games and laughing.
