Peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. June Hunter (nee Rettie) of Burnt River in her 79th year. Beloved wife of 54 years of Merv Hunter. Loving mother of Lyndsay Hunter and his wife Melanie of Arthur and Elizabeth and her husband Jason Smith of Brampton. June will be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Jessie,Cassie, Luke and Owen. Dear sister of Robin and her husband Phil Pearson of Edmonton, AB and pre-deceased by Eleanor Carew and Joe Rettie. Sister-in-law of Gail Rettie of Lindsay. June will be rememembered by many nieces, nephews along with many extended family and friends. The family of June Hunter will receive friends at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 8 Princes' St. W., Fenelon Falls on Monday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. If desired memorial donations to Burnt River United Chuch or Ross Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
