Obituary for Mimi Kranzl

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marija (“Mimi”) Kranzl (nee Gasperic), age 80, on February 15, 2021 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. Born in Croatia to Franjo and Zlata Gasparic, Mimi later came to Canada where she settled, and later raised her two children. Mimi loved tending to her garden, taking care of her rescued kitties and pups, and visiting or entertaining many good friends. She was always the life of the party, had the gift of gab, and a wonderful laugh that will make us smile every time we think of her. She had a heart of gold, and was loved by many. Mimi, as she was affectionately known, was the beloved mother of Walter Kranzl (Mary), of Fenelon Falls, and Sonya Kranzl (Ben), of Bloomfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Iesha Kranzl-Madore of Lindsay, Raven Besharah of Terrace, BC., and Odin Kranzl, of Fenelon Falls. Predeceased by her five brothers, Ewald, Anthony, Francek, Ernest, and Drago. She will also be missed by many extended family members both here and abroad, and many friends who dearly loved her. If desired, memorial donations to the Loyalist Humane Society in Picton, ON, or the Mayboro Lodge: The Fenelon Museum, Children's Programming, Fenelon Falls, ON, would be appreciated.
