Deepest condolences to Carol and family.
I remember Peter the best , with my work on EYFF executive and Peter’s great work with the NYFF’ association . His passion for fire fighter safety, and well being of fire fighters at any level , was always noticed , and appreciated.
RIP brother !

Carol. Thank you for welcoming me into your home and making me feel like more than a caregiver. It was an absolute pleasure working with Peter and your family. You all made the "job" more of a family visit than work. I will always remember Peter, his stubborn, bullish, brash behaviours with the greatest respect and admiration. That was Peter, love it or leave it, he wasn't going to pull punches. That is what made him so likeable. He could take as good as he got. He will be sorely missed as I deeply enjoyed the conversations about his life as a firefighter and chief. I will miss his political views and his tirades but know at the end of the day this man would have given the shirt off his back for anyone. You are all in my thoughts during this difficult time.

Carol and Family

I had the privilege of working for and under his direction and he was a great Leader, always working to make our
Fire Fighting safer and better. Always ready to help anyone he work with. and certainly was a great person to be with, at the
Union Level, at the Fire Halls or at the administration side of our North York Fire Dept.
Our Deepest and Sincere Sympathy, at this sad time for all of us, and good memories will forever remain.
Darlene, Georges Hache.

Carol and family, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Peter was a fine person with a passion for the Fire Service and everyone involved in it. He made a significant contribution in so many areas and in so many ways.
It was a personal privilege to work alongside him in both the Association and then in Administration. Peter and I worked alongside one another in the NYFD and he was a loyal and effective Deputy Chief. I know you have many happy memories of great times spent together that will be a source of strength and joy in the coming years. May God richly comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead.
Love and Prayers, Hazel & Al Speed.
