Condolence From: Donald and Merle McMurray
Condolence: Our sincere condolences on the passing of Ron. Reading the obituary in the Globe and Mail brought back many fond memories of our time with Ron. At a recent Golf gathering in Port Dover,a group of Ron's friends from the Beach observed a moments silence and had a drink to his memory. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to spend some time with him. Don and Merle McMurray

Condolence: Dear Jean, I was very saddened to hear of Ron's untimely passing but I truly hope he did not suffer too much. "Hec" sure loved his golf and giving out that precious trophy. I certainly remember many fun filled rounds of golf down at the Point and I'll never forget the 19th hole always complete with a Cigar and a Rum at the cottage! My heart is with you and family at this most difficult time. with my sincerest sympathy, - Rob -

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Ron's passing, please accept my condolences. Although I had not seen him for many years, I have great memories of the days he played his tea-chest/broom handle bass in our Dixieland band along with Jon Eby, Peter Davies and the rest at the old Toronto Press Club and elsewhere. I am sure he will be greatly missed.

Condolence From: Mary-Lynn Peters
Condolence: Dear Mrs. Crighton, Steven and Peter, I was saddened to hear of Ron's death and am very sorry for your loss. In my mind's eye, I can see him and Jean strolling up 2nd street after dinner, out for some fresh air and a chat with the neighbours. I have so many fond memories of Sturgeon Point and our summers together. Playing hide and seek on 2nd street at twilight, spending our days in the lake, riding bikes over to the Hickory Beach store.... and the memorable whistle used to summon Steven and Peter home for dinner! More recently, I saw Jean at the funeral for my Aunt Marlyn. It was nice to see you and catch up a bit on your family. I am sorry for your sadness and the difficult days ahead. You are in my thoughts and prayers, love Mary-Lynn
