COLE, Verna Marie Isobel:

May 18th, 1928 to June 9th, 2022

Our Mom, Grandma, friend has passed away with her family by her side & is finally dancing with her husband Harold whom she has missed so much for the past ten years. She leaves her three children, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, & a 3-month-old great-great grandson. Her life with Dad was full of many dear & wonderful friends, & a large extended family, including sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & endless cousins. Both Mom & Dad were never happier than when entertaining at their home, 1st on Morningside Avenue in West Hill, & then on Cameron Lake in Fenelon Falls. Everyone was always welcomed in their homes. Mom was forever baking her famous butter-tarts & pies (often different varieties to please all of her grandchildren), while Dad barbecued to feed their always welcomed “gangs” of family & friends. Many people will have fond memories of gathering at the house on Bond Street not only to watch the beautiful sunsets, as well as the annual Canada Day fireworks. The best view in town! Thank you to her loving caregivers for the past eight years in her apartment on Murray Street. She could not have stayed there for so long without all of your help. She truly loved each one of you. Family & friends are invited to Jardine Funeral Home, 8 Princess Street West, in Fenelon Falls, on June 25th from 12p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Reception to follow.
