Peacefully at Hanover & District Hospital on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Maurice (Marty) Martel (2005). Predeceased by her parents Alma and John Norwood. Loving mother of Lenna Hunter (Wayne) of Bobcaygeon, Patricia Martel of Cornwall, Leonard Martel (Nikita) of Hanover, Starr McBride (James) of Whitby. Remembered by her grandchildren Ryan Pelley (Gwen), Mitchel Hunter, Scott Kenyon, Jenny-Lynn Rudd (John), Rachelle Rudd (Predeceased), Rebecca Mendez (Gabe), Ashley Todd (Kyle), Madison McBride, Alexander Martel; and her Great Grandchildren Ashlyn, Malachy, Riley, Braydon, Owen. Dear sister of Vivian McLaughlin of Ramara, Beverly Heron of Oshawa, and predeceased by Adeline McLellan, and Dwayne St. John. A celebration of Zaida’s life will take place in the chapel of  JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE, 8 Princes’ St. West, Fenelon Falls on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. Interment at Verulam Cemetery following at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
