BLACKMORE, John Melvyn:

Jail Guard for 28 years at Lindsay Jail, and Volunteer Fire Fighter for 37 years at Station 20, Burnt River. At the age of 71, John passed away peacefully at home with his family on Saturday February 27, 2016. The family of John Blackmore will receive friends at The Community Centre,16 Somerville Centre Road in Burnt River on Friday, June 10th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Kawartha Lakes Fire Fighters, Emergency Services Personnel and Associates will muster at Burnt River Fire Hall on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. to leave in procession at 12:15 p.m. sharp to the Burnt River Community Centre for a 1:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service. A reception will follow. Memorial donations to the Burnt River Firefighters Assoc. or the Burnt River Recreation Centre would be appreciated by the family.
