Life Story for Albert Garfield Scown

Albert Garfield Scown
SCOWN, Albert Garfield - Entered peacefully into rest on Friday, April 30, 2010 after a long stubborn battle at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, Ontario. He leaves behind his two daughters Lori (Magee) Scown and Barbara (Mateo) Scown. Sadly missed by his five grandchildren, Chelsea, Carly, Bradley Mateo, Travis and Colton Mann and son-in-laws Edward Mateo and David Magee. Born and raised in Alberta, he was the son of Myles and Selma Scown (predeceased). Albert served in the air force and spent his lifetime as a transport truck driver of which he had a passion for to be on the open highway travelling all over North America. Albert loved his family, and was the life of the party, however, he could never sit idle for too long before the road called him back. He enjoyed watching sports as he was an avid Toronto Blue Jays baseball and Calgary Flames hockey fan. He finally retired in 2007 and put his roots down in Fenelon Falls. In keeping with Albert’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a small private memorial for family. The family would like to thank the staff at Ross Memorial Hospital for their care and devotion during his time of need.
