Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Monday January 12, 2004 after a month long illness. Al Gillis in his 97th year was the beloved husband of the late Christina Robertson. Father of the late Peter Gillis. Grandfather of Megan Gillis and her husband Matthew Johnson of Brockville. Survived by sisters in law Helen Gillis, Annie Robertson, and Ruby Robertson. Beloved uncle of John(Sandy), Mary(George), Kathleen(Bert), Fern, Sherman, Mildred, Marion, Madelaine, Lorraine, Lois, Leslie, Allen, Hildegard, Clarence. Al lived on the farm with his cat George until his final illness. The family of Al Gillis will receive friends at the JARDINE FUNERAL HOME Īllman-Platten Chapel" 8 Princes'St. West Fenelon Falls on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday January 15 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. from Fenelon Falls United Church.
