Condolence From: Bonny McDougall
Condolence: "Go get your fiddle" is my fondest recollection of Basil. His encouragement and gentle patience of teaching one of his hobbies will always be remembered. Then we would have a reminiscing chat so he could tell his "fish" stories and often talk about the farm and his horses. As I only saw you both when you came down to our area, the music was so much a part of the time spent together. I gather that Basil was a very well respected long time resident of the community and that was reinforced this fall when I was at the Plowing Match near Perth when I spoke with some people from Fenelon and said I knew you both. They of course knew you too. I was very proud to tell them that I had the pleasure of "fiddling around with Basil McGee."
Rest in Peace, "Out the Buckhorn Way".
Bonny

Condolence: To All of You: So very sorry for your loss. There is nothing I can say to make this time any easier for you. I have many memories from growing up that are racing back to me as I sit and think of "Mr. McGee". So many hours spent hanging out, coming and going all the time. I'm pretty sure we drove him crazy, but I think he loved it just the same. Always remember that as long as he is in our memories he is always with us. Thanks for always being part of mine. Love Laurie
