We remember Betty as a wonderful neighbour and a good friend. She took care of others but chose to deal with her personal challenges privately with never a complaint. We will miss our evening walks and pleasant visits ( along with her chocolate chip cookies and date squares ). Last winter she wove a lovely set of placemats for us. They will always remind us of a very special lady. Although we are far away we will be with Betty's family and friends in spirit as they honour her on Saturday. May she rest in peace and may we try to live life following the example she set - always participating, reaching out to others, never judging, never complaining and living life with dignity and kindness.
