Peacefully surrounded by his family at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Monday, June 22, 2015 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Joan Johnston (nee Maynard) for 63 years. Dearly loved father of Nancy (Steve) Bailey of Oshawa, Judy Johnston of Fenelon Falls, Debbie Johnston (Phil) of Oshawa, Jill Von Eschscholtz (Mike) of Edmonton. Dear grandfather of Cody McKee and Nelson Von Eschscholtz and great grandfather of Ryker Dickson. Survived by brothers Clyde Johnston (Lucy) of Peterborough, Hugh Johnston (Eve) of Port Perry. Pre-deceased by brothers Lloyd (Red), Dave, Bob, Jim, and sister Carol Wagg. The family of Mr. Johnston will receive friends at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME & TRIBUTE CENTRE, 8 Princes' St. W., Fenelon Falls on Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a celebration of his life to be held in the chapel on Friday June 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 238 Fenelon Falls would be appreciated by the family.
