Smithers, Fred: Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Case Manor Nursing Home in Bobcaygeon. Fred Smithers was the beloved husband of Willa Smithers (nee Martin). Dear father of Krista of Bobcaygeon, Gary of Otterville and Brian of Kitchener. Dear brother of Margaret Shadwich of Woodstock and Joyce McPherson of Kintore. Brother-in-law of Miles Martin and his wife Jayne and Debra Colins all of Bobcaygeon, Ivan Martin and his wife Heather of Bradford and Carolyn and her husband Jon Mutch and Leonard Martin and his wife Pam all of Winnipeg. Dear son-in-law of Mrs. Thelma Martin of Bobcaygeon and uncle of many nieces and nephews. The family of Fred Smithers will receive friends at Christ Church Anglican, 43 Sherwood St. Bobcaygeon on Saturday, May 7th from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through Jardine Funeral Homes.
