Condolence: To the family of a great man, George McDonald, (Mac) as he always liked us girls at fenelon court to call him....I often think of him as he was probably my all time favourite gentleman that I ever had the privelege of meeting and caring for. When it was almost his time, I told my mother, pastor and another co-worker I liked that we needed to do something special for Mac as I knew he wouldn't be with us the next day when I came in for my shift, so we gathered ourselves around his bed and held his hand with his bible on his chest and we sang too him. It was one of the most memorable moments I've had at Fenelon Court. He loved it!! this poor soul could barely speak but when we stopped singing he would whisper, "that was beautiful" so we kept singing!! we all cried and held him wishing we could keep him here with us but knowing full well that God had other plans for him. We said our goodbyes and of course the next day, he had passed. I'll never forget that day. That's what working in this field is all about, your love and compassion for people. He had a lot of love around him at all times. He always had a joke too tell us when he was well and he was the most polite gentleman I've ever met. May he be singing with the angels and Gods arms wrapped around him forever more....Love always, sandi parkinson
