Passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Miriam Finklestein. Dear step-father of Richard Pinnell of Etobicoke. Loving grandfather of Elizabeth, Timothy, and Melissa. Great grandfather of Julia and Matthew. Son of the late Wellington and Myrtle Hilyer. Brother of Bessie Barriball, Lila (Don) Hart. Pre-deceased by brothers Murray McKenzie, Dick and Alf Hilyer and sister Ruby McGuigan. Loving uncle of Jennie Junkin of Fenelon Falls. Interment at Burnt River Cemetery, 108 Burnt River Road on Friday, July 17th, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. followed by Legion Service and Celebration of his life at Burnt River Community Centre, 16 Somerville Centre Road at 12:15 p.m. Memorial donations to the War Amps would be appreciated by the family.
