Condolence: We were very sorry to hear about the passing of Joe Rivard. We enjoyed his acquaintance, having our seats adjacent to his and Doc Savage's at the many ballet performances.
Most sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Condolence: I had the privilege of working with Joe many years ago at Case Manor. As a fresh new R.N. out of school, he taught me a great deal about the love of life, the right to choose, and how to advocate for oneself. He truly was a leader and I will always have great respect for the lifeway he chose, and how he chose to live life the way he wanted to!!!! He will indeed be missed...

Condolence: I first met Joe the summer I first moved to Toronto. He was a bundle of energy and joy in a crowd of strangers. He said that we would always be friends, and he was right... That was back in 1995. Throughout the years we have been a witness to each other's lives and personal journeys. I will miss our visits, our long chats on the phone and the cards. Most of all, you have set an example of what it is like to help others without reservation. If there is a heaven for good deeds, then you are in a truly incredible place. I know that you will never be able to come and visit me in LA, nor will we be able to celebrate the holidays together, but you will continue to live with me in my heart as always...

Condolence: To Joe`s chosen family and friends, my thoughts and wishes are with you all. I met Joe 15 years ago when we were both volunteering at PARN. Joe could not do enough for the people of his community. It is sad that his ailing body could not keep up with his youthful vigor for life. I will always miss him.

Condolence: To all Joe's loved ones - he was such a wonderful man, and while working at Case Manor, he was a Godsend to my grandmother. She thought the world of him, and the night before she passed away, she asked him to get a euchre game together, and she spent her last waking hours playing cards and having a wonderful time. God bless you Joe.
