Dear Chyvonne and family, It is with deepest regret by which I express my own condonences to you. I worked with your Mom for the first five years of my career with CDSPI and I had spent many lunch hours with her eating red licorice and giggling about our lives. I was thinking of her just about a week ago and had intended to call Ruby at CDSPI to see if I could acquire her e-mail address or phone number because it had been a while since we had spoken. Judy had taught me many things like; "don't wait for happiness..." in the way she left CDSPI and sold her Condo (dealing with the flood; carpets, cupboards, Insurance people and Condo Committees)then moving back to Lindsay to be with her family, which she was so eager to do... a testiment that timing is important and that waiting is only a state of mind!!! A few months later, I followed her lead and left CDSPI myself because I recognized her strength and I knew that I had it in me as well. I suppose we all have greiving to to as it relates to Judy...which is what I suppose I am now doing as I compose this. I had gone out to dinner with your mom last year and considered her a friend of mine...we shared a lot of personal information. The single regret I carry regarding Judy; that I had not contacted her when I thought to. I guess that is a lesson she was able to teach me; she said, "Don't wait" and I didn't listen. Instead of feeling terrible about this, I can choose to change the speed by which I "act" in my life, and to thank and dedicate that change in my life to your Mom; representing the promptness by which I am available for others. I contacted Lanny Smith as I am sure she would have wanted, another of her friends from CDSPI and I have no idea how to locate Barry White. I am shocked and very sorry in myself. I would ask that when you feel you are ready, I would greatly appreciate it if you would contact me so that we could perhaps get together to share stories about that wonderful person, Judy Rafferty. Sincerely, Paul Poulin (416)343-9333
