Life Story for Julie Norah Carroll (Cragg)

Julie Norah Carroll (Cragg)
Passed away quietly on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario. Julie Carroll of Fenelon Falls was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Cragg, wife of the late Robert Carroll and stepmother of the late Lana Carroll. Julie will be greatly missed by her brother, Bill Cragg and his wife Patti; stepdaughter Lynne Kerr and partner Bill Moore; stepson Michael Carroll; granddaughter Laurie Kerr and partner Clay Jones; nephew Chuck Cragg and his wife Shaughn and their children: and nephew Dalton Cragg and his wife Jennifer and their children. A passionate advocate for women and children in distress through her rnany years work at the Oshawa YWCA's Women's Shelter, Julie also loved animals of all kinds, especially cats and dogs. Her two dogs, Piper (a border collie), and Cruiser (a shih-tzu), were very dear to her and always prominent in her thoughts. Julie was a lifelong fan of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, was fond of figure skating, and had a "thing" for the late Paul Newman, and possessed a heart of infinite generosity and kindness. She was always there for friends and relatives alike, going that extra mile, lending an ever-attentive ear, making supreme contributions to the lives of everyone she touched. Recently, Julie received an Ontario Volunteer Award in recognition of her five years of dedication of Community Care in the Fenelon Falls area. Julie did not want to have a funeral and her family will respect that wish. Her arrangements have been entrusted to the JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE, Fenelon Falls, 1-866-453-9277. Those who would like to honour her memory can make a donation to YWCA Durham, 1 McGrigor Street, Oshawa, Ontario L1H 1X8, with special reference to helping women and children in jeopardy.
