HERR, Karen Lynn (nee Crowells) (Rich)
Passed away at her home in Medford, Minnesota, on July 21, 2013 at the age of 65. Cremation has taken place. Karen Lynn, the daughter of Bob and Eleanor Crowells, was born October 21, 1947 in Oshawa, Ontario. She graduated from Toronto Teacher’s College and taught for a number of years. Karen enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and being at the cabin up north. She is survived by her husband, Joe of Medford, three sons, Michael (Jenn) Rich, Shawn (Aimee) Rich and Jason (Jenna) Rich; three step children, Jarrod (Jenni) Herr, Jennifer Herr and Matthew (Juli) Herr, six grandchildren; sister Marlene Gillard of Cameron, Ontario and twin sister Sharon (Dennis) Tobin of Bobcaygeon, Ontario; one brother, Jim (Sharon) Crowells of Picton, Ontario. She was predeceased in death by her parents. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound, 2nd Avenue East, in the Beth Ezekiel Section. A Celebration of Life to follow at the Days Inn Conference Centre, 6th Street East from 12 noon – 2:00 pm. In memory of Karen, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
