'Larry' Alvin Lawrence  Smith
Passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at his home in Fenelon Falls. Beloved husband of Jean Smith (nee Spencer). Loving father of Greg Smith and his wife Robin of Aurora, Sherri and her husband Chris Lesperance of Kitchener, and Jeff Smith and his wife Rhonda of Waterloo. Cherished grandfather of Alexander, Maddi, Rebecca, Matthew, Turner and Tanis. Larry is survived by his siblings; Lynn and her husband Jerry Bocchini of Windsor and Dennis Smith and his wife Prue of Orillia. Dear brother-in-law of Carol Stannard of Windsor and Reg Spencer and his partner Pat of Amherstburg. He will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was a very active member of Branch #50 of the Royal Canadian Legion and the KW Civitan Club. He was a minor hockey coach for several years and upon moving to Fenelon Falls he continued his work with the Royal Canadian Legion and began delivering Meals on Wheels for Community Care. The family of Larry Smith invite friends to a memorial service at St. James Anglican Church, 19 Bond Street East, Fenelon Falls on Friday, July 4th at 1:30 p.m. If desired memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #238 Building Fund, or to Community Care Fenelon Falls would be appreciated by the family.
