Laura and Aunt Maude

Laura had a soft spot in her heart for my mom, her Aunt Maude, and my family as well. In the past six months or so Laura made phone calls to check on mom after mom was placed in Centennial Villa in assisted living. She was worried about my health and my family and I always ended our conversations with "I love you" and she would tell me how much she loved me and mom. She sent me money to buy mom a birthday present in December and I bought her a nice sweater. I promised to send her a picture of mom to show how good she was looking now, and I didn't get it done. I have learned not to put things off if you care for someone. I will miss her message when I wasn't home simply "Hi Elaina It's Laura Just wanted to see how you're doing...don't call me back...it costs you money...I'll call you...bye bye dear" Laura I would give anything to hear your voice again. I am so grateful that I got up to Ontario with mom in August to see you. Looking through pictures I realize you and mom spent a lot of time together in years gone by. You truly cared about people and we still love you...we will meet again...xo
