Condolence: So sad to hear of Lorne's passing. I spent many a day in the summers growing up hanging out at the Bait Shop and helping Judy working there and many hours spent at the Kimble's home with him. Still keeping in touch with Lorne over the years, and even this past summer, introducing my son (an avid fisherman), to Lorne and Lorne telling his stories to him (including a few my antics there), and sharing his fishing wisdom with my son, was so wonderful to share this time with him. Lorne will be missed, but his smile, humour and his sense of caring won't be forgotten.

Condolence: Last night I attended the wake for uncle Lorne and althought he was not actually my blood uncle he was always an uncle to us girls growing up.

We spent many afternoons in the bait shop hanging out with Lorne and he always had a funny story to tell us. Often he would tell me stories of my dad when he was growing up, which just goes to show you how he ws involved with and touched the lives of so many people in our community.

I have so many fond memories of uncle Lorne and will miss so much his gentle smile and of course seeing him touring the streets of Fenelon.

We will miss you uncle Lorne! xo

Condolence: Whether you were on your way to or from work you were sure to see him driving around town or at the shop feeding the ducks and going about his business. We would go about our day, and he was always there with a gentle wave or nod of his head you never really thought of it, but now something feels amiss. Fenelon Falls has lost something irreplaceable, a beautiful old soul with a heart of gold. You will be sorely missed. Your family is in our thoughts Brian, Caroline, Andrew and David

Condolence: God bless Lorne for the ways he touched so many of our lives, in ways big and small.

It was truly an honour to help Rick and the guys record "Oh, Lorney", and I am so glad that Lorne got to hear the finished product and to sign the copies for the Otter Lake Hunt Club. I guess we all know what he is doing now - sitting on his watch, waiting for the bull of the woods to come by.

"Lock and Load, Lorne!"

You will be missed!

Condolence: When I first heard we'd lost a special person...all I could think of was the following:

"Many people walk in and out of our life, but only the very special leave footprints in your heart."

I know there are many hearts bearing footprints today, and I can only be grateful that I had the opportunity to have had one of the "special" ones walk through my life.

My sincerest condolences to those that are hurting with the newness of this loss, but my deepest wishes that the hurt will ease and be replaced by the most special and personal memories that only Lorne could have produced.

My thoughts and wishes go to all that were touched by this wonderful, caring man.

"To live in the hearts we leave behind, is not to die."
