I shall miss Lucile a lot. This is what I wrote for my column in the Daily Post. - With the passing of Lucile Pennington we lost a friend, a curler, a bowler and a bridge partner. She was currently on the board of directors for the Curling Club and every time there was an event she was there to help. She played bridge with the Rosedale Bridge Club when she and her husband, Peter, lived on an island there. It was a bit of a challenge to go curling in the winter time. Sometimes the ice was strong enough to walk to shore on and sometimes it was iffy enough that there was no way to get off the island. In town she played with the lawn bowlers and there again she was there to help when help was needed. She was a very pleasant person to be with.
