Condolences

Condolence From: Brian Thornton
Condolence: Just glancing through the obituaries in the Temiskaming Speaker and Norman's name caught my attention. He was such an inspiration to we "younger" folk. He would walk every morning in many cases battling a winter blizzard. We would always stop and talk to him as he always had such a welcoming smile.

His spirit lives on in Haileybury.

Blessings.

Condolence: I was so sorry to hear about Norman's passing. He was always so full of life and it certainly was a pleasure to have known him! He had wanted to make it to his 100th birthday but he did make it to his 100th year! A full life to be celebrated.

Condolence From: Ella (Black) Lemessy
Condolence: Uncle Norman was as unique as they come - a solid, honest and vibrant man with a sense of humour and a love of life that very few could match and which served as an inspiration to us all to emulate.

I began the practice of celebrating his birthday's with poems written about him and his life stories in 2005 for his 95th birthday ... each year since then, he has greeted me with, "Have you got anything to read to me?" We shared a special bond through those lines of rhyme.

Uncle Norman, you will always be with us in our special memories. Love from Ella, Mel Sr and Mel Jr.

Condolence From: Caroline and Brian Carpenter
Condolence: There are few people who could tell a story like Norman. There are few people who were as honest as Norman. There are few people who could preach like Norman. There were few people who could heal like Norman. He was one of a kind in more than one sense of the word. He is up in Heaven with Roger I know that for sure. I only knew Norman a short time but it was an honour to have known him. Caroline Fenelius-Carpenter
