Many, many years ago my husband and I were fortunate enough to meet Peter when he began visiting our store, in Bobcaygeon, on behalf of the Salvation Army. We found ourselves looking forward to our weekly visit with this kind and gentle soul. After each visit, Peter always managed to leave Mike and I with a ,warm fuzzy' in our stomachs. Years later, after I returned to teaching, I found myself taking my grade 2 classes to Fenelon Court for bi-monthly visits with the residents. Imagine my great surprise when I saw Peter there, as a resident, who was only too eager to interact with seven and eight year old children. I again found myself drawn to this elderly man who had a twinkle in his eye, a smile on his face and a comment or two about the Leafs! My students were always wanting to be partnered with Peter because they too were always left with a 'warm fuzzy' after each visit. Peter will be greatly missed because he always managed to make the world a little warmer.
