Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rosemary George can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Rosemary George

Rosemary  George
Passed away at home peacefully on January 27th in her 67th year with her loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Allan George, to whom she has been married for 48 years, she had been a devoted mother of Michael (Brenda van Arkel), Kari (Larry Myers) and Lisa (John Whitney). Rosemary is predeceased by her father Michael Chalut (1971), her mother Laurentia Chalut (nee Renaud, 1989), her nephew Robbie Chalut (1995) and father-in-law Anthony George (2006). Rosemary is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Elizabeth (Libby), Andrew, Spencer, Cora, Trinity and Mitchell. . Rosemary is loved and remembered by her sister Margaret (Tony Brenders) and her brothers Michael (Joanne), Paul (Christine) and Robert (Sheila), in laws Jerry and Lucette George Patricia and Wayne LaBranche and surviving mother-in-law June George as well as many other family members and friends. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews Michelle, Darin, Lori, Nicole, PJ, Chantelle, Jennifer, Dawn, Amber, Michael (Mikey), Maija Lisa, Jake, Gabriel, Jerry, Cheryl, Tina, Monique, Roger, Brittney, Lindsey and the late Elaine (2004). Rosemary wants them to know that she loved them and their children and the memories are wonderful. Rosemary was a career mother by supporting her family working in the financial industry for 35 years. She has helped many people get started in their lives and retired as a Branch Manager for Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU). Rosemary has always been a people person, and believed in the goodness of all. She has touched many in our community. Rosemary and Allan would like to thank Randy, Jeff, Dr. Kanjeekal and nurses at Windsor Regional oncology, Chemo Care Unit and to CCAC and all the nurses, PSW’s and support staff for their home support. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Center or Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family. Visitation Thursday 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers Thursday at 7pm at FAMILIES FIRST 1065 LAUZON RD. East Windsor (519-969-5841). On Friday, family and friends are invited to meet at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd.) after 10:00am, followed by Mass at 11:00am.
