Doug and I were Ruth's colleagues at both LCVI and Weldon. It was at the latter that we came to know her better, a result of being part of a small staff at a brand new school, setting out on a new adventure (1971). Your mum contributed to the camaraderie of this staff by graciously hosting the early fall staff party at her cottage bravely and more than once!) As well she was a most spirited supporter of Weldon student endeavours. Her "Higher Horizons" Commencement prize is an example of that Weldon loyalty.
