Miller, Velma Ronald
April 23rd 1939 - November 15th 2007

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Velma Ronald Miller on November 15th 2007 at his home in Norland Ontario. He was 68. Velma was born in Middlesex NewBrunswick and moved to Ontario in his twenties. It was there he met his late wife Doreen. Velma and Doreen moved to Oakville and then later resided in Norland.
Velma had many hobbies from making whirly gigs and wishing wells, tinkering with anything mechanical or heading down to Kirkfield to sing with his buddies. Always a handy man willing to help out a friend, Satch was a gentle giant who lived for his family.
Velma is survived and will be forever remembered by his wonderful companion Margaret, his loving children Stuart, Lori, Rick, Rob and Kim. Cherished by sisters Carolyn and Ilene and brother Bobby all from NewBrunswick, brother Billy (Peticodiac). Predeceased by his sisters Winifred O'Brien, Shirley Grouse and parents Guy and Nelly Miller. Lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters in law. Uncle Velma will be dearly missed by his many nephews and neices. "Papa Satch" will be forever missed by his 12 grandchildren. Mia will also miss her Daddy. Satch or "Jake" as was known by his many friends and coworkers is taking " The Old Log Train" Home.
The family of Satch Miller will receive friends at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 8 Princes’ Street West, Fenelon Falls on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Monday November 19, 2007, at 11 a.m. Interment at Pinegrove Cemetery, Norland.
