Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Vern Schier in his 74th year was the beloved friend and partner of Gloria Quibell of Fenelon Falls. Dear father of Darcy and his wife Pat of Millbrook, Don and his wife Janice of Claremont, Doug and his wife Shelley of Orange Corners, David and his wife Tracey of Udora, Sharon and her husband Tim Jones of Bracebridge, Cathy and her husband Jim Hunt of Innisfil. Beloved friend of Donna Quibell and her husband Simon Constantinidis of Aurora, Doug Quibell and his wife Kim of Waterloo, Don Quibell and his wife Leighanne of Cameron. Beloved grandfather of Christopher, Ashley, Danielle, and Katie Schier; Steven, Tanya, and Jonathon Hunt; Liz, Jamie, Kenny and Courtney Jones and great-grandfather of four. Beloved brother of Gilbert Schier and his wife Beulah of Calgary. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Dear brother-in-law of Cecil and Joice Lamb, Ivan and Yvonne Lamb, Allan and Bev Lamb, Ross and Bun Lamb, Dave and Loretta Lamb, and Dorothy and Bob Duvall. Pre-deceased by his parents Jack and Jane Schier, and sisters Doreen Mitchka and Valerie Smith and grandson Ryan Schier.
