William (Bud) Lauder Barrett
Nov. 5, 1940 - July 10, 2015

At the age of 74, surrounded by family at his home, Bud passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, July 10 after a short battle with cancer. Devoted and loving husband and best friend of 53 years to Sandra. Deeply loved father of Sherman (Linda) and Lindsay (Fred). Proud Grandad of Fraser (Jessica), Alexandra (Kevin), Sierra and Braeden. He will be lovingly remembered by his Godchildren Vinh (Agatha), Minh, Hinh and Joy (Franz) and their children Chloe, Elliot, Lena and Benjamin. He will be dearly missed by his sister Greta and his brother Tony in Scotland and his sister Joy in Australia. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends. All who knew Bud will remember his devotion to his wife and family, his generosity and his ever present quirky sense of humour. A special thank you to the personal support workers and nurses who cared for Bud and supported his family during his illness. The support we received from our community of friends was unwavering and will always be remembered. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, July 18 at St. James Anglican Church, 19 Bond St. E. in Fenelon Falls.
