Bob and Betty, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much Joyce meant to you both and how much time you spent with her.
I remember sitting next to Joyce at a concert we all attended in Toronto. It was so nice to be able to chat with her especially since we had just discovered we were related. She was a great person and so friendly. She will be missed and especially by both of you.

Rob and I had the wonderful opportunity to be stationed in Fenelon Falls for a short time.
Joyce, great is your reward.

Joyce was a great heart. She had vision. She was a bit phenomenal administrator. Rob joins me in sending deepest condolences to her family and close friends on behalf of all members of the Knighton family. During her years in London our family was closely associated with the work of The Children’s Village. Rob worked one memorable summer for Joyce as Rec Director and lifeguard. He famously recalls supervising the pool and being umpire in of a baseball game simultaneously. No one drowned. But the lesson here is that Joyce asked quite a lot of her staff because she asked quite a lot and f herself. Rob’s dad was on the board of the village for years. I worked there for today freeing craft classes once a week. Our family saw Joyce as a powerful woman of God. True. Faithful. Wise. We bless her memory.

I first met Joyce on June 30, 1987. I remember the date because it was the day before I married Lee Anne who was like a daughter to Joyce. Over the years Joyce was a part of our family and we were a part of hers. While our family is grieving the loss, we are also celebrating her life and its impact on us. We also celebrate the times we shared together; thanksgiving, new years eve, birthdays and other special events. We loved visiting her at Fenelon Falls and sipping coffee, playing cards or just chatting. Our family is better for having known her and her influence will continue to shape us until we reach eternity and see her again.
