Got the sad news yesterday that i lost my gramma, living to an amazing 94. It's a day we knew was gonna happen very soon but she was so strong and never giving up that we figured she'd just end up out living us all! What an absolute privilege to have had such a loving woman in my life but more honoured that she was family, my gramma. I'm a pretty lucky guy to be able to say that. One of my fondest memories is from when I was a little boy. Gramma would ask me for a kiss, a "sweet" kiss as they became known between us. I'd walk to her and my grampa's home to and from school and look forward to peeking into the cookie tins to see what gramma had baked. Seemed there was always something new in there. Of course I'd sneak a few and realized later everyone from our big family was doing the same. ;) no wonder she had to keep baking new treats. As an adult my bond with her stayed strong even though our visits were not as frequent. Having our gab sessions over coffee and some of her famous homemade treats made us laugh and talk for hours it seemed. Well, I can go on and on but what matters most is that my love for her will never ever go away. Our family has lost a true hero to all of us and for that we are sad but also so blessed and so happy to have had our own special moments with Erma Hanna, my gramma. One more sweet kiss for u Gramma
