The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marjorie Dewell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

My Elegant Cousin

I remember my first cousin Marjorie from when I was a child visiting on her parents' farm in Ontario. I was eleven or twelve and she was in her late teens or early twenties. I can still see her getting ready for a date with her nails polished and her hair done to perfection. She was my picture of what true elegance looked like. She retained this flair for looking perfectly dressed and beautiful all the time I knew her, especially when she came to New York as a buyer for Eatons and we met as adults. I visited Marjorie in the lovely home she built on the homestead she interited and again at the residence in Linssay. She was still the picture of an elegant lady.
