Uncle Norman was as unique as they come - a solid, honest and vibrant man with a sense of humour and a love of life that very few could match and which served as an inspiration to us all to emulate. I began the practice of celebrating his birthday's with poems written about him and his life stories in 2005 for his 95th birthday ... each year since then, he has greeted me with, "Have you got anything to read to me?"
