Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on Friday October 12th, 2007. Rose fought a courageous battle with cancer. A long time resident of Kinmount, Rose was the publisher and editor of The Promoter, and a social critic and renowned gardener. She will be missed by a loving family, her mother Oda Barlow, her daughter Anne Louise, her son Chris, her grandchildren Tayla, Brooke and Kirby and very recently a great-grandchild Rhys. She leaves her sisters Kate (Sorbara) and Mel (Arblaster) and brothers John and David Barlow along with many other relatives and thousands of readers and admirers.
Visitation will be on Wednesday October 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Jardine Funeral Home, 8 Princes St. West in Fenelon Falls. A funeral service will be held on Thursday October 18th at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity United Church, 40 William St. in Bobcaygeon. Interment will follow at Kinmount Cemetery.
