In memory of a kind, gentle man who influenced and enriched our lives daily with knowledge and understanding we will forever remember. Always an ear and voice of wisdom, he will be sadly missed. William Noble, a fitting name for a true nobleman of our time.
In Memory of a fine Noble Gentleman and descendant of the ancient and proud clan MacKintosh as well as the Crerar's, also members of the same clan: "Touch Not the Cat Bot a Glove". William Charles Noble has brought honour to this Clan, may he rest in peace.
I am sorry for your great loss, and know that you are in my prayers. May I share this poem & story with you and family, as it stands out for me on the day of Will's passing. On Sunday, April 26, 2009, I attended the Leonard Cohen concert in Calgary. The poet created a blanket of only his sound at the Jack Singer Concert Hall when he shared his next poem. He gave us his story of creating this prayer like poem during a time of adversity in his life, and began to sing...
"If It Be Your Will"
If it be your will,
That I speak no more,
And my voice be still,
As it was before,
I will speak no more,
I shall abide until,
I am spoken for,
If it be your will,
If it be your will,
That a voice be true,
From this broken hill,
I will sing to you,
From this broken hill,
All your praises they shall ring,
If it be your will,
To let me sing,
From this broken hill,
All your praises they shall ring,
If it be your will,
To let me sing.
If it be your will,
If there is a choice,
Let the rivers fill,
Let the hills rejoice,
Let your mercy spill,
On all these burning hearts in hell,
If it be your will,
To make us well.
And draw us near,
And bind us tight,
All your children here,
In their rags of light,
In our rags of light,
All dressed to kill,
And end this night,
If it be your will.
If it be your will.
