Condolences

Condolence From: Norm "Butch" Burt
Condolence: I have many everlasting memories of Bill. I met Bill as a teenager when he moved into a house on Margaret St, Fruitland, then a new subdivision below our small farm. We both attended Saltfleet District High School. After school and on weekends we pursued what might now be called "questionable" activities. We were young and "bullet proof" but no real harm was done! After High School our paths separated when I joined the RCN and later the RAN moving to Australia. Fortunately over the years we managed many happy reunions with our mutual High School mates- usually when I was passing through Canada on Navy postings or on leave.
Bill was a great mate and will be sorely missed.
My deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to Kaye and his daughters at this difficult time.

Condolence: Bill was a quiet man with a big heart! I have enjoyed many hours talking with Bill over the years, sharing stories. Whether it was discussing the antics of Red Green, the many uses of Duct tape, or just discussing life, Bill always had a good sense of humor and an ear to listen. I will never forget his kindness and support when I lost my Grandfather. He was the first to reach out to make sure I was OK and handling it well! At my Grandfathers funeral when I was upset I felt a hand on my shoulder, the quiet but kind support of Bill! He has been a good friend to me over the years, and a loving Husband to Kay and will not be forgotten! Kay I am so sorry for your loss. You know how much Bill meant to me, and I know the joy he brought to your life! Please except my sincere condolences for your loss, and if there is anything I can do for you please don’t hesitate to ask!

Condolence: The passing of Bill has refreshed so many memories. When we moved here 21 years ago he came over to introduce himself and offer his assistance. As the weeks and months turned into years he proved he was sincere. When he gave you his word you could take it to the bank. When we were away for the winters months Bill was diligent in caring for our home.

His quiet sense of humour always made the day a little brighter. He was eagerly ready to share his knowledge and vast arway of tools whenever help was needed.

We can truly say Bill was one of the most honest and respected men we have ever had the privilege to know. He will be deeply missed by Kaye and all of us on the street.

Condolence: My sincere condolences over the passing of Bill.

Bill was a very kind gentle man. I had the pleasure of knowing him as a child and had some great conversations with him at Safety Stores at Dofasco.

I was happy to see he had many years to enjoy retirement.

Rest in Peace.

Condolence: Kay,So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. My thoughts go back to when Bill and I worked at #2 and #3 stores. There were a lot of good memories and a few that were challenging (of course you know Bill could be very stubborn). Once you got through the rough exterior of his character, he was a fine person. He is gone but the good memories are always there.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I worked with Bill many years ago at #2 Stores, he was safety guy upstairs. I would often have lunch with him up in the safety stores and he would tell me all about Fenlon Falls. I'm so glad to hear he spent his retirement years there. He will be sadly missed. It was a pleasure to work with him. Sincerely Gayle Zaunscherb (I the time I worked with Bill I was Gayle Sutherland)
