I wish ro express my heartfelt condolence to the family of Jim White. Jim had a great influence on my life as a musician and I consider him my mentor. I first met Jim when he adjudicated me on a trumpet solo I performed at the Kiwanis Music Festival when I was in Grade 8. Even now I remember his encouragement. I was fortunate to meet Jim many years later as an adult playing in Intrada Brass. It was always encouraging to receive Jim's "seal of approval" when he smiled at you when you played something well. I like to think that I share Jim's love and passion for music. It is obvious from the many expressions of condolence and tributes shared about Jim that he had a powerful influence on so many people's lives, especially in this wonderful world of music. Jim, you will be greatly missed.
