I am truly saddened to hear of the passing of 'Mr. Krueger' (I would have never dared call him Bob). He was my music teacher at NTCI from 1972-1977, during which he tolerated my inabiltiy to keep my mouth shut in class, so that I might enjoy playing both trombone and baritone in his many classes and bands. Occasionally caustic, but always utterly passionate about music and irrepressibly infectious in passing on that passion to his students -- even the difficult ones -- Mr. Krueger was a towering Beethoven in an academic world of PDQ Bachs. Only now do I realize how grateful I am to have been his student. My condolences to his family. Even today, I hear his yell of "Band!!!" in the music wing hallway.
